Project
Multidisciplinary 'green field (= new) "construction project in a pharmaceutical environment
Construction scope includes foundations, civil construction and finishing, steel, mechanical, piping, electrical, mechanical instrumentation until completion
Yard Organization
Given the larger scale project, candidate operates within a EPC contract in a Construction Management Team and reports to the Construction Manager
Responsibilities:
Reports to the Construction Manager regarding functioning and efficiency of the Safety, Health & Environmental program (SHE program) at the construction site
Manages the delegated SHE responsibility of the Construction Manager
Controls and coordinates all work permit applications
Coordinates the investigation team regarding incidents and accidents and makes recommendations to prevent future issues
Promotes good ‘house keeping’ on the job.
Promotes contractors weekly safety meetings
Supervises preparation of jobsite safety program consistent with principal, client and local authorities requirements
Provides, maintains and continually updates site safety record bulletin boards
Represents client at SHE discussions between client, contractors, governmental or factory inspectors
Authority
Approves incidents and accident reports and expenditures
Approves acciednt prevention programs

Skills
Candidate needs to have a proven experience in the set-up of high standard Safety Programs
The absolute preference goes to a candidate which has proven strong HSE management skills on construction sites. This means a strong personality, which already elaborated and implemented efficient safety strategies in the construction business.
Languages: French, English, Dutch (it is essential that candidates are completely proficient with all three languages in this order of importance!)
