Lead Structural Engineer

Responsibilities
• Supervision of all structural engineering and associated drafting activities.
• Preparation of conceptual design studies.
• Detailed structural design and engineering.
• Preparation and updating of Company’s Structural Specifications, Procedures and Manuals.
• Evaluation of new equipment, vendors and working practices.
• Preparation of tender documents for structural related items.
• Preparation of tender documents for Transportation & Installation.
• Coordination with the T&I contractor.
• Technical evaluation of tenders.
• Responsible for either producing advanced calculations or supervising the execution of the calculations on offshore steel structures (Topsides, Jackets and Modules).

• In our opinion a Senior Structural Engineer is experienced, passionate, disposes of a great technical understanding and tutoring qualities.
• At least a HTS degree, preferably a MSc degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
• A minimum of 5 years of Structural Engineering experience in the offshore industry.
• Experience with software packages SACS and ANSYS is an advantage.
• Working knowledge of the English language
• Ability to communicate with other engineering disciplines and external agencies at a detailed technical level.
• Presentational skills necessary in order to be able to address formal, technical gatherings of any group of peers or external bodies.
• To keep abreast of current technology and regulations in order to be able to keep our clients Specifications and Procedures up to date.

Taking part in international projects in the oil & gas industry (on and offshore), our client is a multidisciplinary engineering company. It’s range of services encompasses projects at both onshore and offshore (fixed or floating) locations.

Our client’s key activities are de-bottlenecking studies, feasibility studies, front end engineering/conceptual design for oil and/or gas plants, compression studies, supply of Process and Gas Equipment (skids), detailed design/engineering, procurement services and construction management
