process engineer

Responsibilities
• developing and controlling of key documents (PFDs, P&ID’s, line list, equipment list, stream data).
• preparing of project specification(s), problem definition and development of solutions.
• gathering information from Client and Vendors.
• specifying mechanical equipment (process separators, heat exchangers, pumps, etc.), instrumentation (control valves, safety valves, transmitters) and line sizes.
• verifying capacity of existing equipment, instrumentation and piping.
• performing process calculations.
• evaluating process models by using simulation software (PRO-II, HTFS, Hysys).
• preparation of Basis for Design documents, reporting findings, recommendations and solutions.
• attending meetings with client and vendors, attending inter-discipline meetings.
• evaluating Bid offers, inter-discipline Squad Checks
• developing control/safeguarding philosophy. Evaluation of Hazardous Operations study (HAZOP).
• developing start-up/shutdown philosophy.
• (assistance in) writing operating manual.

Requirements
• Master or Bachelors degree (TU or TH)
• Preferably 8-10 years experience in an engineering environment (senior function)
• Pragmatic approach
• Ambition to be a technical specialist
• Familiar with engineering software programmes
• Preferably familiar with relevant design codes and regulations
• Communicative skills and commercial attitude
